A secure clinic administration system with one record per patient, from the front desk to the consulting room.
The challenge
The practice needed one secure place to run the clinic, from registering patients at the front desk to clinical notes and consent in the consulting room, without expensive off-the-shelf software.
Our strategy
Give every role its own station. Everything the front desk records is available to the nurse and doctor, but nothing clinical travels the other way.
What we did
- Built one record per patient, from arrival to departure
- Created stations for the front desk, nurses and the practice administrator
- Kept allergies, notes, diagnoses and medication hidden from the front desk
- Logged all access to patient information
- Added document and PDF generation, plus an installable app for staff
Results achieved
- Front desk, consulting room and consent handled in one system
- Clinical information protected by role-based access
- A full record of who accessed patient information
- Ongoing development and management by Digitalx
