Google Isn't Indexing My Website

Quick answer: Open the Pages report in Google Search Console. It tells you which pages aren't indexed and why.

Common reasons

• A "noindex" tag left on after development
• robots.txt blocking the site
• No sitemap submitted
• Pages too thin or too similar to others
• A brand-new site Google hasn't reached yet

How to fix it

1. Remove noindex tags and robots.txt blocks.
2. Submit your sitemap.
3. Use URL Inspection to request indexing for key pages.
4. Improve or merge thin pages.
